Default Powerdyne 9psi OR Vortech A-trim8psi??? Whats better?

Im ready to supercharge, but i'm only gonna invest about 2500$. My choices look good, but i cant decide which supercharger will make more power and be more reliable. I cant afford the Vortech S-trim (which everyone seems to use), so the alternative is to go with the A-trim. Would the A-trim be a good choice or would it be better to go with Powerdyne's 9psi unit??

Which produces more POWER?
Which is more reliable?
What are you guys runnin?

My preference is the Vortech "S" trim. A well proven street supercharger. It's not that Powerdyne makes a bad supercharger, but Vortech's just have a longer life with fewer problems. Plus, when the Vortech needs to be rebuilt, it will be very easy.

I don't believe that Vortech is making an "A" Trim. You can get a "S", "SQ", "T", "G", "YS", "J", "X", "XX", "Z" Trim Units. All of them have different pressure, life, etc. rating. "S" is the more affordable street Supercharger. But don't let that fool you because you can still spin it to 50,000 RPM, with 1000CFM, and up to 20Pounds of boost ! The "SQ" is the same basic unit with Helical cut gears for quiet operation. I personally kind of like the sound of the whine of a Supercharger

Hope this helps

go with vortech however the a-trim doesnt produce 8 pounds of boost unless you change the pulley but if you want 8 pounds of boost yoou could change the pulley, but you will also VOID the warranty spend 2799 dollars and go get a vortech s trim that can produce 8-10 pounds of boost

AND FOR ALL THOSE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT A VORTECH SOUNDS LIKE LET ME TELL YOU IT SOUNDS SO SO SOO GREAT ITS THE BEST SOUND YOU COULD EVER HEAR

Default another idea

Don't digard the ATI ProChrger, they have tons of intercooled kits and this kit is a known winner at the track. Check with some of the drag race class results. Also no oil lines to add. Uses high strength ceramic bearings if I remember right.

lots of things work well at the track, its weather or not it will last on the street. I mean c-mon, 15:1 compression works well at the track, but that doesnt mean it will work on the street. Go with vortech, it is a very reliable blower. You will be pleased with the fit and finish as well.:3d:
