I have a 96 GT It has all six of the catalytic converters on it still. I live in NC so i have to pass emissions but my cats are trashed they rattle and sound like ****. Now i heard that removing the cats gives a good bit of power, but if i did that what are my options to stop the rattling, boost power and pass emissions? Mainly i want to stop them from rattling but new cats are just to high.

If the cats are malfunctioning, you can legally remove and replace them with no problems with the law. Get a high flow cat pipe and you'll be alright. If they're rattling that bad, they probably need to be replaced.

I know I'm about 3 months late on this thread but are you sure they are cali emissions compliant?? I need to pick up a set of these
