Default Finally have the P1SC on, now what?

I finally got the supercharger on my mostly stock 94GT and now it's having the dreaded idle problem.

It's mostly stock except for a 70mm throttle body and 75mm mass air with the stock 19# injectors. The fuel pressure is at 42# at idle right now with a BBK regulator and it's seems a little high as it puts out some black smoke when getting on it a little. But when you come to a stop the car just dies. It fires right back up and "hunts" a little then will die again if you don't blip the throttle. I did have to clean the ACT sensor but that's it. Any ideas?

Thanks

Chuck

Probably running too rich. The factory always puts in a rich mixture in their tune because it's safer than going lean. I would try setting the fuel pressure down to 36 to 38 lbs and see what happens. 42 Might be too much for your 19lb injectors.

I agree, turn your fuel pressure down. The stock setting is like 35lbs try 35-38. Are you using an FMU with the set up?

You're not getting any codes from the computer? I had that problem and I had accidently disconnected my MAF.

Sorry about taking so long to respond, it's a busy time at the PO trying to catch up on the mail.

I have a 190LPH pump to put in it and 30# injectors too but I was waiting til I put the Trick Flow manifold on it. I changed the plugs and they're all rich, so I guess I'll turn the FMU down a little.

Anyone ever have the anti-lock come on while under some boost?
Mine started doing this and the other day when I stepped on it, it took off then felt like someone slammed on the brakes and threw me into the seat belt.

Thanks for the replys

Chuck

Kondike93 it is a "must" to upgrade your air and fuel
going with any power adder! The first thing you should
do is a 100% tune-up and than upgrade your air and fuel
before you even think about installing a supercharger!
Detanation? rough idle? bad gas mileage? running to rich or
to lean?

Well it now has the Trick Flow intake and the 30# injectors as well as a MSD6BTM and it is running so rich the plugs are black as coal. I have a TwEECer to help tune the EEC-IV but I haven't figured out much yet.
One thing concering me now is it takes off like a rocket but then seems to fall on it's face at about 4500 to 5000. The check engine light comes on, the anti-lock light comes on and it starts to run like crap so I have that work on to. I'm going to do a compression test as well as a leak down test to see if I blew a head gasket cause something just tells me I might have.

Thanks for the help

Chuck

Make sure you have a chip calibrating the parts you're installing. The fuel pressure is fine at idle. Once you upgrade to the 42s and MAF, you will pull the FMU out of the loop.

AWSF 22C at .035"...? What plugs are you running?

Well, I have discovered that one of the O2 sensors is bad and will be replacing both of them (they had 90,000 on them anyways). I think this is one of the reasons it's running rich all the time, and thanks to GTRaptor for all his help on getting the MAF tuned I'll keep you posted on how it does once it's fixed. If your asking me what plugs I'm using they're Autolite 25 gaped at .034".
