Default Nos question

Hey guys have a some questions on NOS. I have a freshly rebuilt (stock) motor and I would like to add NOS to my car. My questions are... is it OK to run NOS with a stock motor? Do I need spcial pistons? Can I put on stuff after i put in the NOS (upper and lower intake, cams, heads) or should i put all that stuff on first? Also what is the most hp i can get without killing the motor?

Also how much to people charge to install NOS? (approx.)
Thanks
Henry

The stock motor will take 150 hp of N20 with no problems. Just be smart when using it. Retard the timing, and check the plugs for signs of detonation when you first start to use it. You do not need to replace the intake, cam, etc. in order to run N20, but when you do the power improvements will be greater.
Not sure how much they will charge, I do it myself as it is relatively easy.

Jarrett,s right. I have a 94GT and I'm running a 150 shot and have had no problems definately retard your timing at least 1 degree you also might want to go 1 heat range cooler on your spark plugs as for the installation I put mine in myself in about 5 hours taking my time doing it and you really only need basic hand tools

yeah i agree with both mentioned above your motor can hold a 150 shot if plugs fuel and is tuned properly.. I have sprayed a 175 shot on a stock bottom end but i wouldn't recommend this on a daily bacis cause you will start to press your luck..just my 2 cents though..

a stock bottm end will hold a 150 shot. retard timing 2 degrees and go down 1 heat range on plugs.
