Default 2006 Mustang GT Looking For advice on the best cold air intake??

Just looking for a little information on what the best cold air intake would be for my 2006 mustang gt. Also this will be the first mod to the otherwise stock setup. Any suggestions?

You can find any and all information using the Search button.

Go with just basic bolt ons and a tuner and you will be set.

Gears as well. I think the GT's come with posi-track so you should be set

The best cold air intake would be an intercooled blower with methanol injection. HAHAHA

Ok, in all seriousness, comparing intakes does pretty much nothing. They all decrease flow restriction a decent amount and most of them have the sealers around the sides. They don't add 35hp like they advertise- more like 15 at most.

I have a K&N Aircharger and it's fine.

Comparing intakes is splitting hairs. Hahaha

JLT Kit is the best way to go. This is from their site...

New Page 1

The new 2005 & 2006 GT has a totally new drive by wire computer system and reacts to modifications much different then the previous models. It seems as most any modification on this car will require a tune of some sort

JLT has joined forces with Chris Johnson @ SCT to come up with the best looking and performing CAI on the market for the GT.

We have seen gains of 28-32 with the 93 octane tune.

Best HP/dollar kit on the market · New improved Billet MAF · Exact color options · Large S&B lifetime air filter · Improved throttle response · Firmer shifts for automatics · Easy install · All SCT X-2’s come with 87, 91 & 93 tunes installed for easy plug & play.

The best without any question. Quality is top notch.

Includes everything you need to replace your small stock intake system. You get the huge 4” JLT pipe, all reducers, clamps, MAF adaptor, apron plate...
