Default having head gasket problems with 5 lb vortech supercharger

Hopefully someone can give me some answers to why I am having problems with my super supercharger.

I have an 89 mustang and the motor has over 100,000 miles on it. I would assume. the problem I am having is I keep blowing head gaskets,coolant lines and blew my water pump. Some of the mods already done are e303 cam w/ 498 lift, 110 lph fuel pump, factory injectors, 65mm throttle body factory, MAF pretty much the motor is all factory. I still have the factory radiator.

I blew the head gasket when I rev over 4000 rpms. When cruisen around, the motor would run nice and cool. When I get on it, the head gasket would blow over 4000 rpm's. Could this be not enough fuel and to much timing. I retarded the timing but perhaps not enough.

I am on a 1000 dollar budget and would like to get the super charger running by spring time. Should I put money into better heads and head gaskets or just up my fuel pump and injectors?

Any info and/or assistance you guys can give is greatly appreciated.

Default Re: having head gasket problems with 5 lb vortech supercharg

Some suggestions in my opionion are;
1. engine is probably going to lean due to the stock injectors, if they are original then there probably worn or dirty at 100,000 miles.
2. Did you have your cylinder heads checked to make sure they are not warped.
3. What is your compression readings if you do a test. Maybe the rings are worn and oil is getting by and causing detonation/pinging causing the head gasket to blow.
If your blowing up head gaskets and cooling lines/water pump there must be a tremendous amount of pressure getting into the combustion chamber.... Frank
