Default 5.0 or 4.6; which can hold more horsepower?

I have heard lots of stories that the 5.0 can hold about 400-450 horsepower on th stock bottom end. What about the 4.6? Which engine is built stronger, or are they the same?

4.6L is a WAY better built motor overall.. so I'd have to go with the 4.6

Just read an article in one of the monthly Mustang publications about a guy modding his 4.6. Seems they can hold 800hp. I'll have to find the story and get more details. Don't know about the 5.0's.

A good rule of thumb with the stock small block 302 is once you hit 500 RWHP your walking a fine line.

I know a few people that have been pushing 550 for years and had no problem but like I said....stick to around 450 at the wheels or so to be safe.
