Default v6 to v8 motor mounts

If i put a 97 4.6 v8 in a 02 v6 mustang will i need to put in new engine mounts or will it bolt right in?

Not to... Discourage your swap or anything but the 02 split port motor is just a few mods away from being faster than a non P/I GT...

I probally wouldnt do that swap either, in my eyes an 02 is to new to be swapping engines and what not on. I would find an older mustang to play with.

Plus you have to think about all the extras you're going to have to buy to make the engine work, suspension, new rear end, T-loc, wiring harnesses, exhaust. Your best bet would to just go buy a GT. It would be cheaper.

Default well i see your point..

but the thing is i already have all the extras.. the suspension, harness, computer, exhaust. i also have the engine. its a police interceptor motor from a 97 crown victoria. the rear end is already an 8.8 and i bought the 3.73 gears for it a while back from a guy who wanted 4.10. i have all the tools i need. so i just need to know if they will bolt in or if i need to put new mounts in
