Exclamation 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis 5.0 supercharging.

So, I know that this vehicles not a mustang by any means, but it's the only thing I've got. Its a 1988 Grand Marquis LS with a non HO crate 5.0 in it. I really want to add a centrifugal supercharging system to it, but the intake is backward in comparison with any other vehicle equipped with the 5.0 (inlet is on the drivers side). The car already has a full MSD ignition, full exhaust system and heads, and intake are in the process. The car only has 80k on it with a freshly rebuilt trans (AOD) and the crate 5.0 only has 40k on it, so I think it can handle the better part of 400 hp. I just want an unexpectedly fast granny car, thats all!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It won't take 400hp. The pistons suck in the non-HO motors. I have a motor out of an identical car (88 LTD) with 88k miles and one of the piston skirts is shattered just from normal use. The pistons are also cast and about as flat as Illinois after a tornado, they won't clear anything bigger than an HO cam.

So the crate 5.0 comes with the same crappy pistons as the factory?
