I have an '86 gt 5 speed with 53,000 miles on it.It is completly bone stock. I picked it up in late september and only had one chance to race it before the season ended. it ran a 14.78 at 93 mph. just wondering if anyone has one similar and roughly what it runs. any suggestions on how to launch or any tips would be appreciated.i would like to leave it fairly stock but would't mind a few additions. i have raced a chevy s-10 with a 305 for the past 3 years and have won one championship and finished 3rd the other 2 seasons. i really don't like the idea of starting fresh with a new set of wheels but this little stang was to hard to resist.i guess i have finally seen the light (lol)

Things are slowly starting to warm upbut i'm sure it won't last(lol), not soon enuff for me though,Just itchin to start driving the stang again. Hows things up there. Last time i was in calgary(oct. 02) i was waiting for a flight and it was snowing like crazy.

Hey Redline. I too have an 86 GT 5 speed. Never raced it yet but will be at Oyster Bed this year. I have been a Chev man all along. Hope I can get used to the Ford. Am always over in Charlottetown at least once a month. May see you around.

Hey I have a 86 GT 5 speed and it went 14.6 the last time it was down the track. It has a few more mods now, it MAY see the track this year... but I doubt it. heres a link to my car domain page http://members.cardomain.com/slow86

I used to have a mint 86 GT Cobra, man, I loved that car, looked just like that, white/black. I sold it to a guy in Kentville six years ago. Really sad to see it go.
