Invariably when I select My Posts under the "MY POSTS" header, I get this message;

"This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 15 seconds."

....and I hadn't even tried to access it before.

What gives?

Works for me too... Have you cleaned out your cache and cookies lately & restart your browser? I don't know if that will help - but you can try.

man i swear its a specific computer thing. my work computer hates this site and does that to me allll the time. but id try what he said, clear your cache and cookies and what not. besides that, i dunno. but your not the only one.

at work its bottom line, windows professional 2000 (or maybe xp but i really dont think so) and we use IE, whatevers newest. At home i use firefox beta all the time and have no problems ever, until i double click on "my posts" on accident.

Windows XP w/ sp3
IE 7, ver 7.00 5730.11

It has worked in the recent past. I do clear a lot of stuff before I shut off the computer but from my beginning here I have kept the cookies from this site so I do not have to log on everytime I open the site.

Ok, I logged out, cleaned the cookies for this sight (and others that I have not purposefully retained) logged back in and clicked on my posts and got in. I then logged out again, cleared the cookies again, logged back in and clicked on My Posts: I got the message again. This second time was well after the 15 second limit.

So it had an effect but it was not consistant. If I have to log out everytime and log back in, I do not want to participate here. Life is too short to have to deal with this if it cannot be fixed.

Thank you so much for trying that! It's through members that are willing to test that we can find out exactly what is causing issues sometimes. Please be assured that our tech is aware of this problem and has been sent the link to this thread! Let's give him a few days to see what he comes up with!

Hi Boomyal.

Thanks for your patience. A couple quick notes:

1) If I'm understanding you correctly, the problem happens for you on one computer, but not another, even when logged into the same account on each?

2) This is probably a silly question, but did you completely close down all browsers are clearing your cookies/cache?

3) Keep in mind that certain site functions, like New Posts, are treated by the system as searches, so if one of those has been done recently, it would count as a "search."

Let me know if this is correct/helps at all.
