Been reading the forum for awhile (since Sept. '04). Got my Windveil Blue back on 12/1/04. Haven't done much to the car except:

• Sequential turn-signals
• Plenum engine cover
• 3M Invisable Bra (paint shield in front of car)

Eventually, I'd like to:

• Paint some Shelby silver strips
• Paint the mirrors to match the car
• Polished SS exhaust tips
• CAI kit
• Maybe some C-Pillar scoops painted to match car's color

Car has about 4,500 miles on it. It's a great car that still gets alot of looks.

I fell in love witjh "MY Platinum Blue" one night last November. Did a doubletake first time I saw her when she was out for a test drive, under the streetlights with chrome 20's she shimmered like white gold. Hence the name Platinum Blue. Followed her home to the dealership and sat outside staring in the window at her until well past midnight. Couldn't wait for the dealership to open so I could take her home. I even went home and wrote a poem about her.(I'll share sometime)
At first sight I didnt realize she was the 05 Mustang, just knew she was the sexiest thing I'd ever seen, I wanted one when Ford first announced they were making the new model, but I stopped tracking the release date after a year of waiting for production, got busy with life)

I'm with you Zregime - I'm in love! But I have no jealous spouse, just Ole Red (Performance White GT manual tr, IUP premium package, active antitheft, red interior upgrade, Shaker 1000, 18" Zenetti 5 Chromes, 8.5front, 9.5 rear, red lemans stripes,) she gets jealous if I don't drive her too.

The dealership took a picture for me. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Windveil Blue is sweet. It just arrived today and I heard people are asking about it. I can't wait!!

I cant believe you got your 06. WTF! I still have not got my 05

Heard a rumor that Windveil Blue was a original color from the 60's Mustangs , it was called something else back then. Anyone heard of this or can shed some some light on it ??

I'm new to the forum and also a new Windveil Blue GT owner. My wife and I had no idea how fortunate we were prior to visiting this forum. We were running errands on a Friday when we passed by the Ford dealer and saw the GT on the corner of their lot. Stopped in and talked with the salesman who said the car was spoken for but I gave him my number just in case. We bought it the next day.

Anyway, I was in the local bookstore today and found a book that covered the color history of Mustangs. From looking at this book I would say the color that matches the Windveil Blue was called Brittany Blue in the 60s.
