I guess I shouldn't complain.. I've got 7 mouths to feed and the two oldest in college. It's a wonder I have what I have.
Kids sure do add up don't they? Moving 2 out of preschool into public school was a wonderful thing... Now those checks can go into the college funds...

Yeah, Pat McManus called having kids, "an inexpensive hobby that got out of hand."
Christmas money from the parents paid mine off Very, very nice of them. I was going to buy an older GT (90's) from eBay but Mom freaked out since we had just had all the flooding in the North East and the hurricanes down South. Gave me some money so I could "step up". I had some money of my own saved up and I am sure the salesman was very happy to get a customer who put $22,000 down
Biggest check I have ever written. Bigger than the down payment on my house

Scary. All those zeroes.
You've got some nice folks... You need to keep them around for many years
Oh man that's freakin' nuts!! I'm beginning to think I'm in the wrong profession, making the wrong kind of money, lol. I seriously thought that having a 17 month plan to get the Silver Bullitt (subject to name change) paid off was really doing something special. Now I see that all these guys have their Mustangs paid off and some are even on their second, it's unbelievable. It makes my $1000 monthly car payment seem like child's play when I think about it...just purely unbelievable. I couldn't even think about getting a 2nd pony until the first one is close to being paid off. Hopefully in 13 - 14 more months, I can come back to this thread and proclaim that my car has been paid off in full and I'm on my 2nd Stang!
I think this is the most times I have ever posted on the same subject. Like I said if money gets tight,
The mustang may go, paid in full ( you know what will have to freeze over first)
The expedition may go, paid in full ( it is a possibility)
Just when you think you are free my daughter moves back home, I now have a grand child at home, the father of the child was at my house also he has since been sent packing and not ever to return. ( this is a night mare you hope never happens to you if you have a daughter.) I have now inherited a truck payment it looks like we are going to be putting on an addition next year, my house is back to a baby nursery again. My nine year old son asks me where is the babys father, in the same breath he asks me if there is really a Santa Claus because the big kids on the school bus tell him there is not, I told him to go ask his sister. You gotta keep your head up, and keep the Canadian Club coming. HO HO HO.

Lately, the sales guys seem confused by people paying in cash - given all the money the big 3 make off of what in many cases becomes "sub-prime" financing, it almost seems like they are a little dissapointed...
If you really can get an ACTUAL 0% deal, then I would seriously consider do ing that too - just for kicks in the late 90's I rolled over a major home improvement from 0% card to 0% card and managed to do it for 3 years paying a total of $30 in fees to do so. I eventually just paid it off because the legal-speak on the 0% offers started getting so thick I could not tell what it was going to cost... Fun while it lasted...
