yeah, I looked a long time ago when I was seeing all the postings for the other colors! We definately got passed. Albeit odd..I am good with it! I have two and I figure they must not be special enough to have their own group.... so screw 'em! hahahaha we are the "special ones" that don't need to feel that way with a darn registry thingy.
Just today, a guy in a Chevy Blazer gestured for me to lower my window... I did... He asked me... "Can you tell me the name of that color?" And I did... and he said, "Thanks, that's a great color and an awesome car!"
So there... Nanner, nanner, nee nee...

I don't know, but before the '05's were even built I seem to remember that all the brouchers and pictures that were out there all seemed to be Redfire Mustangs. There's a reason for it. Great color, but that's my own opinion

its like a brotherhood, Ive gotten thumbs up from fellow redfire owners as they pass my slow @ss... Of course there are the drawbacks, like the urban myth of red cars... in other news, I got a speeding ticket last week.
so would the hip hop generation call it "RedFIYA !!!!" ?
I hope it's not too early to count me in? My Pony is grazing on a railcar somewhere in Wyoming..heading to my dealership. Should be in my garage any day now!

My ride is Redfire too and i noticed the same thing as you did. Its a great color. It looks really good at night under streetlights. I see more reds and blacks here, very little Redfire. Its an early 05 and has some orangepeel around the side quarter windows. I dont get any comments. I keep it clean and shiny, and i even wave at older model Mustangs that pass and barely get a nod.
I was going to get a Cosmos Purple GTO.

Everyone who sees mine rants about the color. I agree with 'thestangrookie' about getting tickets. I've been pulled over 3 times. Once I got a ticket and the other two times they said they just wanted to check out the car. At least they were honest. My buddy, who owns a '73 convertible just a few shades darker, calls redfire "cop red". I wish someone would set up a registry. I don't have the technical skill or desire to learn.
On the cop thing... I've been lucky. So far, just one cycle cop "chirped and flashed" me in the dark one morning on my way to work... I'd gunned it to get around a slow poke I was stuck behind after they FINALLY made their left-hand turn at a green arrow. You all know the situation... It happens right after you yell "Get ON with it, wouldya?!?"
Anyway, I thought I was a goner... Don't even know where the cop came from... I'd JUST made the turn and gunned it and BOOM, there he was! I slowed down (from about 60 in a 45 zone - it's amazing how much pickup my sweet, little V6 Automatic has!) and moved over a lane, but the nice officer just passed me on the left. I was grateful for the 'warning.'

If I bought another one, it would again be redfire
I like all the colors, theres something to say for each one, but I have a Redfire and if I ordered a replacement it would again be Redfire. However, if I win the lottery I might get one of each.

Redfire owners don't need a registry to comfort them that they chose the right color!
We already know we chose the BEST color !!!!
I like it, and don't really mind what other people say. There are probably many other nicer colors out there, but somebody at Ford either has borderline taste or was color blind when choosing the palette. Unless Dupont was having a sale on hard to sell tints?
