Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 (Never driven these, but many swear by them and I have witnessed great times from good drivers in cars with these tires. They cost a lot of $$$ though)
Bridgestone RE-01 (These stick like glue and wear well also. The sidewall in these feels just right.)
BFG KD If you can still find any (And I'm
not talking about the the KD
W's) (These -the KD's- are on my Z now. They stick very well and have a perfect sidewall, but they aren't going to hold up as well as the MX's or RE-01's)
Falken Azenis RT 615 (Stiff sidewalls make for razor-sharp reflexes, but they don't grip quite as well as those above. Wear is OK, but they don't like too much heat. They get a little "greasy" after a lot of hard driving. On the pluse side, they
start out with great grip "cold". Almost on par with the cold grip of those above. because ofthis they work well for quick runs, such as those found in autocrossing. YOu can also find these at much lower prices compared to those above)
Hankook hankook Ventus RS2 (Good grip, good heat tolerance, sidewall just a little soft, good wear, good price)
Kumho ESCTA MX (Great grip, once you heat them up, soft sidewall means you have to run them with rather high tire presures, good wear, good prices)
And I can't wait to try a set of these, when the come out in a few months;
Kumho ESCTA SX
