Default Tried on new wheels today, Quads causing concern.

my 17X9 Steedas fit fine, and i wanted to flip the Quads anyway, when i did, i noticed they act just like a blown shock, the have resistance still but you can compress it and it doesnt jump back like a normal shock. they're bad. Correct? I might be getting springs and control arms here in a few, and everyone says you dont need quads after those, but would a new set help even more? I dont really have a budget, so if it would help more, id get em. They're cheap thru Steeda anyway.
Also, when reversing them, the diaphragm side rubs on the rear shock cover,, not the shock but the rubber boot around it.. any problems here?
btw, the wheels fit great and look 5x5.. I'll snap pix soon hopefully.

yeah, thats what i keep hearing, does the axle not move at all with LCA's or can you replace em with better quads and get a lil better suspension? has anyone ever tried this?

The quads "attenuate" the softness of the stock LCA bushings, making it harder for the axle to bounce without control (axle hop).

When you install urethane bushings or aftermarket LCAs you already reduced that problem so quads are obsolete.

10-4. so you have upgradeable quads for stock suspensions or the LCA's for the mody's... werks for me.

I whould try new LCA's without quads first, and if you notice any axle hop order some. I Run Carrera quads with Saleen LCA's, because it's the spec on the Racecraft setup I use. I have never tried without them, but I know people who do without any problems with aftermarket LCA's.
