Gonna autoX GTraptor next sunday.

One of the 2000s and a 97 are supercharged will be my main challengers. Im also running my brothers 2k SCed GT. So im having double fun

There are other brands AutoXing same day, i think some Porsches dont have the complete schedule yet.

This is a big event, around 400 cars, with show, autoX and manufacturers events.

No Cones to ya! I'm just waiting for the 23rd, local SCCA Snowbuster AutoX. I run in B street prepared class with the Saleen, and the competition better B prepared!

Now that you post about your Saleen just recalled theres one damn Saleen with a wicked 351 in it.......

My chances as i see them are among 1st and 3rd in the SC 2K GT and 4th or 5th in my 5.0 GT.

Well, back from the AutoX, i think i did well considering the competition.

There were other 2 cars included in the event, a 2002 Vette and a mid 80s 911 turbo Porsche.

The Porsche was 1st, second was a friend of mine in a 97 Vortech Mustang, Third the Vette , 4th a 2000 GT "Pace Car" and i ended up 5th overall.

Not bad on a field of 20 cars

My biggest problem was gearing, i think i have to move to 3.55s or 3.73s.

Thanks Scott, i think i can do better, i may have another shot at it next saturday (2 weekend competition)

Called my brother and offered me a "spare" set of 3:73s i hope to have them installed b4 the weekend.

Will have some pics and video later.

3.55 gears are a must for autocrossing with a Manual trans. I put them on my 1989 GT and it greatly reduced the number of shifts per run. With 2.73s, I was bogging the engine exiting sharp corners in 2nd gear and 1st gear was too short to make the shift worthwhile. Now I have great torque out of the sharpest corners and the 2-3 shift is usually in the first third of a straightaway where it is easy to do.

Now all I need are a tubular k-member, coil-overs, custome Mumford link, Baer Track/Touring brake kit, Kumho Victoracers and I'll be set. ;>))
