What are your goals?

The stock rotors are quite good. Changing rotors alone will net you a very small gain in braking performance, and only at the extremes.

If you need a gain at the extremes - like open road course work - step up to a quality brake package like Wilwood or Baer. That would include rotors, calipers, hoses, etc.

Lots of people like to switch to drilled rotors. Unfortnatly, they think their brakes will be better. But it usually makes them worse.

i have the Stop Tech stainless steel lines and hawke performance pads. i run the carolina motorsports park track which is a pretty brake intence course. when we last ran the car the rotors seemed to be getting "slippery" toward the end of the day. the stock rotors are also a bit "grooved" My goal is later braking going into a turn.

OK, for high speed woork that's going to take some effort.

For the big bux, step up to a full brake upgrade, like Wilwood or Bear. Lots of bux, but durable and reliable lap after lap. I'm pretty happy with my Wilwood system.

One of the great tricks to good brakes is keeping them cool. That's probably why feel slippery towards the end of the day. Considering adding brake ducts.

DO NOT get drilled rotors. You will lose braking effectiveness, and need to replace the rotors pretty often.

Here's some pictures of my Wilwood upgrade, from stock Fox body brakes: bobcowan/Wilwood Brakes - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Pretty remarkable improvement. Allows me to brake at the 1.5 marker, instead of the 3. Sometimes they work so well that I slow down too soon and too much.

Or they will crack like mine did. They actually worked great all day, but ended up cracking. I got them for looks, but figured Id give them a go on the course. Newp, thank god they warrantied them, lol. I will be going back to the stock rotors next event.

Brake cooling ducts and proper management of your brakes will do wonders. I now have the Steeda Branded Stop Tech 14" kit in the front Hawk HP+ and the 13" upgrade kit in the rear.
