Default do it your self suspention stuff for a 2004 v6 mustang manual tranny

i have a v6 2004 mustang with a manual tranny and i already have widder tires and i want to know what are some other things i can do to greatly improve handling without losing to much ride quality and i would love to be able to do these things in my garage so let my know what you think

Subframe connectors, rear sway bar, strut tower braces, lowering springs, shocks/struts will all give better handling and can all be done easily enough in the driveway/garage. LCA's can sometimes be a ***** to do.

It is not too hard to get decent handling out of a V6. The V6 can handle pretty decently doing all that was listed above as well as a little weight reduction and fixing the steering geometry. Doing an IRS swap on a V6 would definitely get the weight bias much closer to a 50:50 than the SRA set-up, especially if you go with a 8.8" IRS rather than a 7.5" IRS.

What I listed above is not all that you can do or should do if you are going for handling. You can go much much farther down the path for better handling. Those are just the basics that most people do.

You would also want to do caster/camber plates, bumpsteer kit, X2 balljoints and aluminum steering bushings. Also look into a tubular K-member for less weight in the front end.

The rear-end is really the weak link in the Mustang suspension but that can be fixed too, panhard bar and torque arm. lol All just depends on how much money you want to spend and what you are wanting to do.
