I suggest that you do what I mentioned above. GO MEASURE THE HEIGHT OF YOUR TIRE. I can calculate what each gear will do for you as far as crusing RPM and top speed. But without the tire height I can't do it.
It will take you 5 minutes and you will have all the answers you ever wanted.

You want speed, get numerically lower gears, you want torque get some gears with numerically higher gears. 3:## gears are usually the midrange; enough torque but still forgiving in allowing somewhere around 120mph. You seem confused, I say buy a quickchange rearend to better silence the woman in your head.

If you are looking solely to gears to make you faster low end and high end i'm afraid you will be dissappointed. If you get too high of a gear, say 4.10 your car will be screaming at high RPMS and not going as high of a speed as with stock. If you go low, say below 3, you will get a real high speed but it will take you forever to get there. I had a 1973 (forgive me) Z/28 with close to 500 bhp and 4.10s. at 65 it ran almost 3000RPM. But it launched better than any car I've personally driven. You have to figure out what you'd rather have first then figure out how high or low you want to go through calculations like they said.

You can get a tuner that has a speed limiter control on it and you can either adjust it by increasing the speed limit or if you know someone who can get in the tuner they can turn it off.
