You can calculate what gear to run backward from what you want your cruising RPM to be on the freeway at whatever speed you like to drive at. For example I geared my car to turn 2400rpm's at 80mph.
You will need the rear tire height in inches. This is as easy as just going outside and measuring it. Get close to perfect though. a 1/4 inch will make a difference in the final calculation.
Then you will need the final drive ratio in the
trans. I think I found mine on Google in about 5 minutes.
Then the cruising RPM you want to crusie at.
Then you just plug all the numbers into a gearing calculator and it will tell you what rear end ger will suit your needs the best. I have a link to a good calculator but it's in my laptop. I will need to go find that for you.
