dude it wont take you much an 08 si has a k20 in that ***** well the k20 is putting out 194 hp and 139lbs of torque and he has a k&n fliter so thats not much of a gain and your a 1994 mustang which is a 3.8 140hp 200lbs of torque or less im not sure but around there you can do exhaust gears 3.73 lsd of course intake tb pulleys tuner it will b pretty close from there but those k20s r pretty quick very high rpm engines
yeah correct me if i am wrong

hey man, thanks for the advice, but its a 2003, not a '94. how much of a difference is that gonna make? sorry im getting to u after the other guy, i didnt see ur comment the other day.
As for suspension mods, you'll want to get some different upper rear control arms. Make sure they either pivot or have rod ends. SN-95 rear suspensions are known for "roll bind," which causes snap oversteer that comes out of nowhere.
Upgrade springs and shocks at the same time. Otherwise, you could end up with a bouncy ride that will be more like skipping a rock across a pond than a smooth corner carver.
Steeda makes some extended lower ball joints that fix the front suspension geometry when your car is lowered. Possibly worth looking into.
I know you're on a budget, but the springs and shocks shouldn't dig into your pocket too bad. But if you plan on driving pretty hard with really tight transitions between turns, get the upper control arms for sure. Oh yeah, and subframe connectors are always a good idea. And usually less than $300.

Thats because SN-95's are FOX4 which is still fox chassis with the same old unparallel four link. Thats why the s-197 handles so good even with the damn same front suspension.

HONDAS in front of mustangs?!? can't have that now, can we....
a few suggestions:
bullitt handling pack, 2 struts, 2 shocks, 4 lowering springs, front + rear sway bars for under 600 bucks,
CAI 100 bucks or so
UDP's 200 bucks or less
dual exhuast around 500 bucks
windstar intake kit 400 bucks or less
gears/ t-lock 700 bucks or less
short throw shifter 200 bucks or less
clutch/aluminum flywheel 700 bucks or less
if you go further than that, you can get heads/ upper+lower intake/ cam... maybe even a small shot of nitrous, you'll be showing GT's your taillghts...all that will put you at a respectable level for far less than the "20G's" you were ignorantly qouted earlier......
i already know im not gonna beat him when it comes to a course full of turns, and im fairly positive he wont beat me in a straight line. what i wanna be able to do is beat him when the playing field is even.
You can beat him in corners you just need to spend more $$$$. Look at my sig, I eat up imports in corners all the time. Latest was a IS300. But you can see all that's done to mine. You can do every bit of it, but with a budget of $2500, you won't quite get there and that's with no engine mods. Your best bet is CAI, exhaust, lower it, lighten it up, possibly tune it, and get a really big wing(That will add like 150hp, and make all the imports scared). LOL, JK on the last.

Dude put a supercharger into it you will be able to beat him with one they are a bit pricy about $4000.00 if that is not a option you could go with a CAI and a suspension kit from this site they have good deals on the kits http:///www.ninosport.com
