i raced a 2004 GT bone stock and won by a car and a half 2 times? i thought it would be a little closer than that. i expected it to be like half a length but i could see him in my rear view mirror. he is a good driver too. how much hp is he puttin down compared to me?

The GT has 265 hp, I think. So, you have 15 more hp than him and better gearing, so 2 1/2 cars sounds about right.

I thought Cobras of that year have 305 flywheel hp and GTs have 260 flywheel HP. Either way you should have won. Also, you need to take into account driving skills, how fast people can shift and how well they do it. Thats a big factor in racing. A bad driver will kill 1/4 mile times of a fast car.

You have a 95 with the 5.0 right? You do not have 305hp. You had what 240hp from the factory? I know that they were slightly under-rated so lets say 250-260hp plus your mods so maybe 270-280 being generous.

Are you sure it was a GT? You should not have beaten it that badly unless the owner just did not know how to drive.
