Default Screwing up suspension install?

So I was at work the other day and some guy saw my MM&FF mag laying out and we got to talking and how he had a 94 cobra that he totaled while crusing down a waving road going 65 when the limit was 35. But anyways I told him that I am getting a kenny brown level 5 kit and that my friends new boyfriend, nick, was going to help me out. Then he told me that he heard of Nick and that he would not trust him with the install and I should spend the extra money and get it professionaly installed. This seemed really wierd to me because the subframes are going to get welded in by kenny brown so he would just be helping me with springs, struts, shocks, front bushings, anti-squat brackets, upper strut mounts, and adjustable rear control arms. Is there that much work in putting all of that on that you could really screw something up? I was working under the assumption that you just bolt the old ones off and pop the new ones in... The only other thing part that I am trying to decide if KB should put on for me is the trackit plus rear suspension with integral panhard bar. What do you guys think? I found a bunch of install instructions on the web for installing these kind of parts so.........

you WILL need a press for the bushings, and you will need an alignment, as for the struts, I hate pulling front springs, I personally would pay someone good to get the front end set up right

Not rocket science, but you should take time to read and fully understand install procedures. Like Twister said front springs should be given much respect as they can seriously take your head off. I did full suspension install on mine, but I had access to a lift, a pit, a press, and air tools. It is worth doing it yourself just for the knowledge you gain on how eveything go's together and it's relationship to other parts. Take the time to learn each parts function and tuneability so when your done you'll have a complete grasp on your setup. It's one thing to read about something, but when you take it apart and put it together you get alot more understanding of how the parts you bought are superior to the ones left on the floor.

Read the instructions 5 or 6 times. Most of that stuff is not too complicated to install. Just be prepaired to spend a lot of time wrestling with the componants to get them in place. And don't forget to get/use the proper tools. I suck when you don't have something you realy need.
