You need to smash him off the road when he pulls up next to you if you want to beat him. That R8 would easily eat a modified Cobra, never mind a V6.

And why do you want to beat it? They honestly aren't THAT fast... But HELLA quick when compared to a nearly stock V6 (sorry Sixers... ).
You could take it with a twin turbo & some steep gears probably. They only run a 12.8 @ 112 in the 1/4...
Not to impressive for the price.

Stock for stock, the Audi wins. If you modded the Audi to the same level as your Mustang the Audi would win. I am not saying your car is not very fast, what I am saying is that Audi makes some of the most serious AWD racers ever to see the road.

I have 2 two car garages that house the 98 and 03 cobra in one. And the other has the 1970 428scj and 1965 2+2. The 94 gt is my DD. The gt/cs is at a buddies shop.
The 1990 drag car is being built by me at my shop and sits on the lift or outside. I have a new race car its a 1988 coupe, nasa AI car that is parked in my 20' enclosed trailer at my shop.... When I get the 1968 gt/cs back the 1998 cobra will be parked in my drive way covered and be my DD. Its alot of cars but they are really cool and I almost own all of them out right
I would love to line them all up one day and get some photos. Here is a few of the 1968 gt/cs. I bought it when I was 22 for $4000. It was a pretty crappy car then. Now it has a class a paint job, A 347, with a tko 600, total control suspension

You could spend a bunch of money and make one bad ass six...Go on youtube and look up some of those v6 mustangs. I mean **** theres one with over 600 hp(yea that guy got a alot of work done to it but it sounds like a bad out of hell v8 is the funny thing i was impressed!). Correct me if i'm wrong but as parnelli Jones would always say HP sells cars.. Torque wins races! Or simple solution..Just leaver earlier so he misses u lol

Well the only problem is that when you chip an Audi R8 you can get another 100HP. Who knows how much when you replace the stock turbos with bigger aftermarket turbos.
The R8 is a beast of a machine but even if I had 150K I wouldn't buy one and I used to be an Audi guy. Now they are just a common car with common problems. Truth in engineering is you make more money selling crap than quality.
