Thumbs up Ford Racing Mustang Challenge

Hello fellow Mustang fans!
My name is James Hunt and I am a professional driver. I recently had the pleasure of racing in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series and wanted to share the experience with fellow enthusiasts. I drove the Ford FR500 S Mustang and was blown away by the car's capabilities. I have driven some pretty fun/fast cars and am happy to admit that the FR500 S was a blast. As a result I am a Mustang fan for life! So I figured I would post the story link here so that others can enjoy as well. Check out the video in the article as I take you behind the wheel for some great racing action. The article can be seen here: http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/hunt-spec-racing-at-its-finest/. I hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did! Feel free to PM me anytime

Pretty sweet. I love the commentary explaining what is going on. I am just starting in the hpde classes. But was bumped up to hpde 3 after my first time. Most of my know how comes from motocross racing. Got my first bike at 4 that was in 1976. Looking for a new race car . I am looking to get my license and get a AI car. See some for around the $12k mark. Way cheaper than building your own. I am driving a 03 cobra with 16k miles on it 460 rwhp. toyo 888r SS brake lines hawk dtc70 pads and a coil kit.

You are stoked to beable to drive that car.
Are you ever out west at any NASA southern cal region events?

I haven't checked out your post yet, but my wife and I did a three day driving school at Miller last fall and are going back in
September for the Rolex race and are going to stay over for some more track time. We were blown away by the school cars and will step up to their Challenge cars in the future. I drive one of these daily and thought I had pushed it in the foothills over here in Colorado, I didn't even come close to pushing it. I am amazed at what they can do. I can't even imagine what a purpose built road race car could do. Nice of you to stop by, maybe we will see you at Miller in September.

Nice! I do actually get out to So Cal NASA events every now and then as I do some driver coaching for a few guys. One of which runs in the American Iron class. I would love to meet up trackside and swap stories. Shoot me an email at james@jameshuntracing.com with your next track day and I'll check it out to see if I'm coming. I may be up at Willow this weekend at the NASA event.
Have a great day!
