Default High Pains Raceway, Byers, CO

My wife and I started working corners for SCCA and Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing. Here are a few photos of the 500 I took Saturday. These guys really race these cars, so much for gentlemans racing.

Jim: Thanks for working the corners. We couldn't race without your support! I drive the "other" orange Boss 302 (#617) in RMVR and had a great time out there (won my class too). It is a fantastic track, and it is an absolute blast to be racing a real Boss 302 in such a setting. It's even better when the Camaros are behind me!

I checked out your GT/CS in the parking area... nice car!

Default "other", not a chance

Sorry for the omission, I grabbed a few of the better photos I took. No offense intended. My wife and I would like to thank you guys for racing the old door slammers. We just started working corners this year and are having a blast. When things seem to have calmed down a bit, I get a chance to take a few pictures(550). We have a great seat from which to watch a good race. Here are a few pictures of you in action. I have yet to really go through all of the pictures from that race. If you would like, I can burn a cd of all with your car. I live and work in Centennial so we should be able to get together. Let me know. I assume you will be at Pueblo next month?? If so, I will have my sights set on 617.

Jim: Looks like you got some great shots! Sorry if I sounded offended, not at all! Which turn were you working? On the last race, I knew all I had to do was keep the red Camara behind and I had a class win. But I put 2 off in turn 6 and almost blew it! It was a great weekend!
Would love to get together some time. Pueblo for me right now looks iffy. But for sure I will be back at HPR for the Junly event.

Thanks again for you & your wife working the track!

Turn six seems to be one the more challenging corners, at the SCCA race in May there were a bunch of cars off there, one on the pace lap. I have a driving simulator in the basement with HPR, I don't think you can apex 6 late enough, it reminds me of the Black Rock Hairpin at Miller, I'll bet I didn't get that right more than 5 times in two days. It is really hard to be that patient. We were in turn 4, with my 400mm lense I got some fair shots of turn 8. Keep all four on for me, then I can take more photos. We are planning on the July event at HPR, if I aquire some free time(we don't hang around much after the race as we need to get home to take car of our mutt) I would love to check out and drool over your car. I will bring my own towell. When the rain comes today I may sort out some of these photos and burn a cd of yours. If in the area of Broadway and Arapahoe Rd stop in at the Conoco station 1/2 mile north of Arapahoe Rd and I will have this for you. I take a ton of photos and then they just take up hard drive space. I would like to get these photos to people who might like them.
