Default First time on track

I finally got mine on track last Sunday. This was High Plains Raceway in Byers, CO. It is a new 2.55 mile road course with several blind corners and lots of elevation changes. I was amazed that it worked really well. The car cornered flat and had very good balance. I did a session with a SCCA instructor and he loved it. He had been driving a few new Camaros earlier in the day and said mine handled way better. He did note that he had to be very "judicious" with the throttle. This car will teach you to roll into the throttle with a lot of touch or it will teach you a lesson. I will get a photo posted soon.

I have now changed to GT-500 wheels and tires to allow for the install of the Ford Racing 14" Brembo brake set-up.

looks cool nice car. Looks like you are in hpde 1? Is it NASA? I would say to get better lap times change your brake pads to hawk blues and run 888r toyos it is a worlds better. Watch video of faster guys online running the same track and look at there lines. Also watch your video you have from in your car place it to look out the front window and also so you can see your hands and feet. This will let you see if you are relaxed and you can get rid of bad habbits faster. Are you heel to toeing the car yet? Are your pedals set up correct for this?

Not a big fan of the super charger on a track car. I took my 03 cobra out once and it was just to much hit to control. The new race car is N/A and revs to 7200rpm it is bad to the bone for road racing. Who ever did the engine did it correct. This is a video of my buddies 1st time on the track , 96 gt with a 03 cobra n/a built motor full griggs gr40 suspension and brakes. After he spins at the very end you can hear me go by in the white mustangSpin
