Default My 1st Roval at TMS Sept 11th

I will be going to my first Roval event at Texas Motor Speedway on Sept 11th. Not only is it my first Roval it will be my first time out on a track. I am going to get a private instructor but I was wondering if anyone had advice for a first timer...

Here is the info from the email for anyone who wants it, (let me know if you will be there).

HIGH PERFORMANCE HP1 SERIES (Novice Driver)
Don't miss it: Friday September. 11th 2009!

NO Prerequisite $150.00

· 30 minute mandatory drivers meeting
· Four 30 minute "open" sessions!

HIGH PERFORMANCE HP2 SERIES with Professional Instruction (Novice Driver)
Don't miss it: Friday September. 11th 2009!

NO Prerequisite $300.00

Professional instructors will optimize your track experience by providing you with high-performance driving secrets.

· Mandatory drivers meeting
· One 30-minute "lead-chase" driving session
· Three 30-minute "open" sessions!
· Professional instruction and critique given throughout the day.
· Ask about our one-to-one private instruction.

HIGH PERFORMANCE HP3 SERIES (Experienced Driver)

Listen to your instructors they know the course the proper lines and want you to have a good experience while keeping you and your car in one piece. You didn't say if you are driving an S197 or Fox body. If a S197 leave the TCS on. Also check out this website www.dfwautocross.com . Come out and autocross turn the TCS off then. I currently run in the SCCA Texas Region series. It is all I have time for now.
