Post Grriggs subframe connector installation on 71

I got a set of Griggs subframe connectors. They didn't come with instructions. Website doesn't state the correct orientation. They are tubular - which way do they go on? Any hints on installation?

Default subframes

I've never installed any on a '71. I have installed some on a '68 and my current '65.

I had to cut open the floor pan to properly install them. You weld them to the end of each subframe (brace up close, bar towards the ground). They may not fit correctly unless you cut out part of the floor pan between the two subframes. The two I installed would not work w/o cutting.

They work great. Good luck.

Got any pics of what that looks like? I heard the bend goes toward the center of the car. I think mine are the same but am not sure.

Sorry, no pics. If I remember correctly, it will only fit one way.

The subframes will make the car stiffer which helps the suspension work better. It can also save you a totaled unibody if you have a track incident (I have had alot of experience with that). I also find the car is easier to work on. When you want to jack it up to work on it, it allows you to floor jack the car up with the jack placed halfway between the wheels (twice as fast).
