Default Brake Upgrades, where do I start?

I'm upgrading my '89 LX 5.0 for open track days. The brakes are in need of help, and I need some ideas.

For starters, I'm thinking of going with the 73mm calipers with steel pistons in the front and better pads, new brake lines.

But for the rear, I'm trying to figure out the best course of action. I have the choice of better pads. But I'm really thinking about putting a Turbo coupe 8.8 rear end, complete with disc brakes, traction lok, and better gears.

Any input would be appreciated.

Consider 99-2004 Mustang PBR dual piston calipers, you could convert to 5 lug or buy 4 lug discs. You will need to use a 94-95 spindle.

I installed a set on my 95GT, and although the 95 brakes are not as bad as the earlier models the 99+ calipers are definately superior.

You can get the parts from a junker.
