Black,79 Mustang mostly carbon fiber/kevlar body, M-2300-k brake kit, full roll cage, maximum motorsport suspension, custom geared 6 speed, 2 inch rear fender flares, 1 inch front, motor being built (no eta). Looks like the Mad Max interseptor and weighs about 1800lbs w/o motor (450hp 351w installed to move the car around)
Black, 82 Capri RS 5.0L, B303, 1.7 rockers, World 180 heads, +150hp N.O.S, Turbo coupe rear end, T-56(tremec tko would be beter), 80 cobra nose
Saw that at the SEMA show! It looked pretty badass! I already hav the MM Max Grip Box installed in m ine and it handles AWESOME! Either one of these kits will get you where you want to go!
ive been lusting over their parts for awhile. Im definitley in for their rear setup at some point, but the front is way too pricey.
I wish they would finish their damn website. The 05-07 stuff doesnt seem to be all up.

if you like handling......get a volkswagen gti. i dont hate mustangs and i do own one but i've won two seasons in a row never losing in a lowered gutted caged gti. i dont want to start some youtube type of comment strand but sometimes "imports" are better at things
The gti's are a car that are built for handling though. I don't know if I would really consider a gti a good buy or not. When new they cost as much or more than a new GT and they are not nearly as quick in a straight line. They will run circles around the GT at a track but they are expensive for what you are getting.
A Mustang is built to be an all around decent car. They don't have the best acceleration, cornering, styling but they do ok in all of those departments especially for the money that you pay.
That said, I would love to have a gti that is a devoted track car with a supercharged 3.2L in it and fully gutted. Talk about owning the track. lol
Griggs really does need to finish their site. I want some more info on the GR 350 front end kits, see how modular those are. I've got the rear all planned out already, though. And about the GTI, I'd rather have a Griggs Mustang that can autocross and drag, as opposed to something that can only autocross.
You won't be getting to good of drag times in a Griggs Mustang though. lol The Griggs stuff is meant to keep you flat on the ground, not give you weight transfer like you need in a drag car.
I have the Strut style in the front of my car, soon to add the rear. WOW was my first impression. the rear brakes loose before the front even flinches. The SLA is too much for the street, I would put it in a car if I was serious about competing. BTW< my car does great at the drag strip, but I wont be running the Torque arm, as the key to drag racing and good times is playing with pinion angle, where 4 link is king.

Back in 2000 Motor Trend slamon tested a Mustang equipped with Maximum Motorsports "Grip in a box" kit and set the forth fastest time ever recorded. Funny, I don't see any GTIs even making the list.

You won't get good autocross times with a drag-oriented 4-link, either. What I'm saying is that it's better for all-around performance, that you can do anything with it fairly well, but not everything flawlessly.
You ever drive an SVO? Much different than ANY Mustang built. It was built to compete with the european cars, and did just that.
At Barber's in 06 there were SVOs running all over V8 cars there. The V8s could pull a bit in the straightaways, but couldn't come close to the SVO in the corners.
Sure the Fox will flex. But, install some subframe connectors and a K-member brace and that will then stiffen the car up 10 fold.

Say what? Changing pinion angle is not going to change your e.t. unless it is way off to begin with. The purpose of a four link is to allow adjustability of the intersect angles of the bars.

One of the big reasons that the SVO's handle so much better is because they use a turbo 4. With a V8 you have part of the engine and accessories sitting before the front axle. With a 4 cylinder the engine is lighter and sits farther back in the engine bay and allows for a better weight transfer compared to the V8's.
I don't really think that you can include the SVO in a normal Mustang comparison anyway. They weren't a highly produced car, they were more of a specialty car. That is like saying that since Porsche released the GT3 RSR that every Porsche no matter what model, is as fast as and handles as good as the GT3 RSR.
Why is everyone taking one little comment out of my posts and bending my words around to make me look like I am a dumbass? If you are going to make a comment on my post at least make the comment in reference to what I was posting about, not what you want to make an arguement about.
