Default suspension - coil over or Steeda which is better?

I have a 94 GT, I'd like to optimize it for street/track (not strip). I've already bought most of Steeda Stage III components, and on the rear I have installed Steeda's competition springs, aluminum lower control arms, Tokico 5-ways, and heavy duty upper control arms.
I am pretty happy with the way the car handles now, the rear is noticeably more controlled and plants itself nicely in the turns. I have the comp springs, X2 ball joints, Tokico's, and caster/camber plates for the front, but I haven't put them on yet because now I'm thinking I should have gone with something like Maximum Motorsports or Griggs coilovers to achieve maximum handling and performance. So I'm not sure if I should stick with the Steeda suspension or sell the parts and go with something different. I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments. I had gone with Steeda because I wanted to stay with one manufacturer, but the thought of shortchanging the car's performance really nags at me.

thanks

John

Look at what Maximum did with their shop car, it handles better than Steda's stuff

Coil-over in my opinion is best. Anytime you can control closer to the wheel the better. Plus lighter weight and adjustablity.

But if your happy with what you have why change?

I haven't done the front yet, and the thought that another setup might be better drives me nuts

BTW, My AOD is going and a T56 (viper) is in my future so I might want to ask you some questions...

is there any problems with alignment(<~~is that spelled right) after you adjust coil-overs? seems like if you adjusted one side a little different than the other, things would be thrown off?!

Yes it's spelled right, you get a happy face

There isn't a problem, but if you make adjustments you will have to check the alignment again. Anytime you adjust the suspension up or down it's going to affect the other suspension angles. That goes for coil-overs and stock coils.

I hate it when I know how to spell something, but I feel like it is wrong! Anyways, with coil-overs you can adjust them to make the car either lower or higher, right? How could you check the alignment say if you were at the track or jus wanted to go lower? Would you have to run to the nearest shop?

^ is one way.

I have plans to build an alignment tool out of some plywood but don't have it on-line...yet. A quick alignment can be done at the track.
