Default What Springs to use...

I've been autocrossing my car this summer and still have the stock springs. It's an '89 notch. Just wondering what you guy and gals think the best spring to swap to might be. The car is not a daily driver but also is not "purpose built" autocrosser. I'm looking for something that will help with the body roll but not knock my tooth out. I'm currently looking into saleen sport springs or H&R. Thanks for the help.

just read my post. I do have more than one tooth!!!!

My suggestions are FRPP "C" springs or the H&R Sport or Super Sport, the later are a bit stiff though and need good struts, adjustables preferred.

The Ford "C" spring is close to the H&R Sport.

Yeah, the key will be to get good quality struts/shocks to go with them. A somewhat stiff spring with adjustable dampners is probably the best all around, if you can afford the adjustables. If you can't then I'd suggest a softer spring, like the Eibach Prokits, with the non-adjustable Tokicos.

I like my indy 700/170 racing springs. My car corners like a dream....slapped them on top of Global West Tubular RLCA's. Mod was inspired by this tech article when this site was SN95

THANKS SNAFM95 ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Emery, thats my combo

I totally love it, though is a bit rough on bad roads it definately is a great street/road race/autox combo.

One thing, the Fox can use a softer spring rate due to the reduced weight.

Thanks for the feedback. I've got KYB's all around right now. Car already feels pretty stiff. Maybe the softer Eibach is the way to go. Just wondering, what's the opinion of MAC or BBK springs?
