Default Handling & Cornering...Whats needed to hold the road better at higher speeds?

I like highway cruising and cornering on mountain roads, what's the best and cheapest way to reduce roll and stiffen up the suspension somewhat without making my GT ride like a logging truck, can it be done or should I expect a rough ride when the mods are completed? Thanks again in advance for any info...

I just put a set of Eibach springs on my 99gt vert and the difference from stock to now in handleing is very evident! These springs lowered my car about 1.5 inches. Looks better too!

After springs I would look at control arms, strut tower braces, and subframe connectors. Just all depends on how stiff you want your ride to be and what kind of roads you plan on driving.

My ride quality went down slightly, but the increase in handleing more than made up for my initial losses.

Just my Opinion

Hope this helps

Jason

That's where you really make the traction... springs dont do too much.

i'd agree with that. But I've noticed the handling is better, and I really wanted the lower look too. Stock springs just make the thing look like a 4wd...lol

I think what you'll notice the most change over is to get you a set of nice shocks or struts,
Bilstein
Tokico
or Koni
they all make good products

What exactly do frame connectors do and are they easy to install?...what is a good brand of connectors and a good shock to use to stiffen things up a little?...I really dont want to lower my car so springs are not an option for me, I need to drive this car in the winter also...

take a look at www.maximummotorsports.com and www.griggsracing.com

they are the best, IMHO.

the SFC connect the front and rear frames of the uni body together enhancing the stiffness of the car.
