I'll Take Four Larges - To Go

Just took delivery of my new tires - 285/35x18 Hankook R-S3s... They're freakin' HUGE (wide). Wheels will be here Wednesday.

Seriously? They turned off IMG tags in this forum? That's bogus...

It looks like all the super cheap close outs in good sizes are gone anyway.

Haha, same here. But I'll take 8 LOL. Couldn't beat that price, even if they are "old stock". Also just ordered a harness bar to put my racing belts in.

What wheels are you getting? Only question for me is what color I should paint my wheels before mounting the tires :hihi:

I got a set of AMR wheels - 18x10 all around, and the same style I have now (I guess that makes me unimaginative - ). I know they're heavy (but a pound lighter each than my 18x9s), but I can't afford the light wheels right now. The way I have it figured is that when I can afford $1600 for a set of proper wheels, I can convert the 18x10s to street use and run a staggered setup with 18x9's on the front (which I already have four of).

I found a place that makes custom centers for wheel caps, too.

Make your own center caps

Actually I figured I could potentially sell 1 set if I dont use them. Price was too good to pass up. Hopefully will have 1 set mounted by 9/14-15 at autoclub speedway.

Well let me set what kind of money I have by then and perhaps I shall offer to buy a set from you. In the mean time, it's finally time to get a Watt's Link!

Try the matte black Dip-It spray. You don't see the brake dust, easy to clean and later if you want original wheel back, peel off the Dip-It. I was surprised how well it went on and holds up under track use.
