Default Anyone install Eibach on 99-01 Cobra ?

I have decided on the Eibach springs for my 2001 Cobra.
I was wondering how much trouble it is to change these out ?
Thanks

Not much trouble at all. Just make sure to get the camber plates and a wheel alignment when finished. If your doing it yourself make sure you have jackstands and a hydraulic floor jack.

Thanks for the link.
I have all the tools, and am mechanically inclined - was just a little unsure if I wanted to tackle this or just have it done.

shadow,

i installed the springs and struts/shocks on my '01 not too long ago. it's not a hard job, but it does require some patience. getting those rear springs out was not the easiest job to do. i had an easier time with the fronts.

camber plates are NOT required and neither are the offset rack bushings or x2 ball joints that everyone says you must have when lowering the car. if you're just using the pro-kits, then you're okay. if you use the sportline, then i would consider the ball joints. i remember talking to eric at XMP about the bushings and IIRC, he said we didn't need them.

i had camber plates installed only because i installed the bilstein sport struts/shocks and they're OEM for the cobra r.

Thanks, I am going to go with the pro kit.
I'm thinking about doing the camber plates and struts/shocks at the same time.
Hopefully I can get a deal on them at the Brothers show

Shadow,

5 1/2 hours to do on the ground with proper equipement if you do offset rack bushings, c/c plates, struts, and shocks. You need a spring compressor for the rears. This way you don't have to drop the a arm.

Like dmark said, you don't really need the c/c plates or bushings. I liked the idea of doing it all at once though. May as well go broke having fun.

When you are ready to do the rear springs, let me know. I'll loan you my rear spring compressor. It helps to have some air to compress the compressor too. Using the air compressor of course.
