Question are eibach springs good, or is there better for close to same?

im looking to drop my 02 gt, are eibachs fine, or is there another one i should look at? also 1.5" or 2.0"?

Don't go 2", it will totally mess the geometry of your suspension up. Go with the Eibach Pro-Kit. It offers a 1.5 inch drop, and it looks great!

The Eibach Pros are definatly good springs, you may want to look into H&R's. I run Eibachs on my 85, they aren't bad, but they are a little rough, not enough to make me buy different springs, but its something to think about.

I've only had experience with Eibachs for about an month, but I love them. The Pro Kit did exactly what it was supposed to do...lowered my car 1.5 inches, and I couldnt be more happy. Was able to align it without any problems.

I have the Eibach Sportline's 2" drop. I really like them. I did however have to get the caster camber plates to realign the front end. Other than that they are great.

i've got the pro-kits on my '01 cobra and they really helped improve the look and feel of the car. it handles much better with the lowered stance.

now i'm starting to consider getting the sportline set since i already have the cobra R struts and shocks on the car.

Ford, Steeda, H&R are others to look at.

When choosing springs, the make is important, but also height, rate and type (linear/progressives).

1. Drop: 1.5 is the most you "should" lower your stang. More is only good for looks.

2. Rate: How stiff you need them to be? 1/4 racer, street, RR, Auto X? mixed?

3. Type: Linears are "predictable", the best for handling. Progressives give you a bit of "comfort" on bad roads, they are softer on compression start.

I find linears to be the better choice for Mustangs. I had Eibach Pros before i got my MRP springs and its a night and day difference.

Eibach Pro-Kit is a perfect all-round spring for the street. If all you want is a cross between good street manors and some handling in the corners then the Eibachs will do you fine.

If on the other hand you don't care too much for the street manors then go with the linear

I think the setup looks real nice, and handling at first was greatly improved. However over time I feel a performance degrade in handling. I installed the Eibach Pro-kit on my car about 8 months ago. Now it seems I am having problems with bumpsteer or maybe I should say suspension deflection.

I am curious what other suspension mods people have done along with the Eibach kit because I do not believe it is enough alone.

I plan in the future to get some urathene for the front and rear and also some adjustables probably Iluminas. any info or experience would be greatly appreciated...
