I have a no name brand called "drop zone" and they are the nicest ride i have ever experienced for their price. All I have done to the suspension is springs, nothing else yet, and there's nothing bad about doing that. They advertise a 2'' drop, just get an alignment after you get them installed so you don't eat up your tires.

I got mine off ebay for really cheap. Try that out. By the way, check my gallery for some pics of it lowered.

Folks I hate to disagree here. Although I have not used the "Drop zones" I would question putting cheap (unheard of) springs on my Mustang. I would suggest you stick with some well known and tested spings. If the "Drop Zones" are worth their weight then I'd think we'd have seen test done on them in MM&FF or 5.0 or even better here.. I may have just missed them but this is the first I have heard of them.

I would suggest you really stick with some well tested spings. Also to add I would also put a plan together. Think about what your end goal is and build towards that. I hate to see people jump in and start making mods just to find out later they have to throw those parts away because they won't work for their overall goal.

I got ford racing springs, they dont lower the car more than an inch but they do improve the handling without losing too much ride confort, cheap too less than $125

Some basic stuff to think about:
-- Is it just for looks or track, too? Use softer, progressive rate springs for the street only.
-- do you drive on crappy, pot-holed roads? Again, use a softer rate to keep your kidneys in place.
-- How many miles on your shocks/struts? If they are near being worn out then putting on lower springs will blow them out in a hurry. I understand about budgets and all, but if you do a half-ass job you'll pay for it later.
-- Dropping too much starts to affect handling, not to mention scraping every speed bump and drive way cut. Usually a max of 1-1/2" is recommended.
-- You probably can get away with caster/camber plates, most cars can, but get an alignment when done.

I have a 2004 mustang coupe v-6 I have found all kinds of lowering spring kits. My question is do you have to do anything else to the car if you lower it 1.8in. in front and 1.5in. in rear other than get a front end alignment.
