If your talking 4k in Saleen parts your looking at a race suspension, much like I put on mine. This will not meet your comfortable ride desire at all. The sport packages are the one's to look at, as their ride quality is alot less likely to shake your fillings out. And you can save money by foregoing parts that sound cool but don't give an average guy much benefit like caster/camber plates and 27 way adjustable shocks and struts. Spending the extra 300 to 400 saved on better tires whould do more for performance. Best thing you can do is find an SCCA Solo II event in your area and start the learning curve while you save for parts. Try scca-chicago.com

Steeda Cobra 13" brake upgrade package
Powerslot rotors at all 4 corners
EBC greenstuff pads at all 4 corners
MAXIMUM MOTORSPORTS caster camber plates ( the best on market )
Steeda strut tower brace
full length subframe connectors
offset rack bushings
urethane spring isolators ( MAC )
Tokico 5way illumina shocks and struts
Steeda front sway bar with urethane pivot joints
Steeda heavy duty quad shocks
*
If money allows I will buy the MAXIMUM MOTORSPORTS adjustable upper and lower control arms. Steeda rear swaybar, Kenny Brown shock tower brace, and a few items to stiffen up the axle movement.
But all in all I just wanted to get this thing to handle like a dream.
It is going to be hard when I roll on 19" STEAM ROLLERS
pony boy...look at th www.kennybrown.com web site...they have everything you'll need for a v6...they even did their own v6 mustang project car...called "kermit"...man that thing hooked...check it out...it wont hurt!!!!

ya pony boy....they got sum sweet suspension goodies for the v6s...well..happy hunting..and let us all know what you decide to go with. but i wouldn't count out max. motorsports..i got sum stuff from them, great quality and fit. its just that...i would think that the v6 kenny brown stuff is tuned for the weight/stress of the v6.so it may be better...but thats just my opinion

I checked out thier sight and I really like the fact that they are kind of close so that I can jump over there and get them to put on the level 5 package with a dyno run/tune and alignment for about 3,500. I don't know if I can get anything better then that. I will probably upgrade the subframe connectors though. I will save up for it and if everything is good I will get my engine components by the end of the school year, rims and rubber during the summer, and get KB to hook me up with thier suspention installed in the fall. I'm too excited. I just with I had the money to do it all now. Just add it onto my loan.....

Kenny Brown is a very good choice. He is truly a guru when it comes to Mustang suspension set-ups. He worked for Saleen designing and tuning race set-up's before going on his own. This says alot because at the time there was nothing for the Stang aftermarket suspension to speak of. He helped pioneer the whole field with Steve Saleen.
So my next addition will be a level 5 suspention package with the subs upgraded to extreams. I will drive down to Indy to have them put it on for me too. I can't wait!!! All I have to do now is to be good, show self control, and save up the 3500 bucks it will cost me with all the instalation, alignments, and a dyno run. I will get back to you all closer to the end of the summer to let you know how it all went and how it feels.

So $1660.00 bucks is going out to Kenny Brown in 5 days and about 4 weeks after I am driving down to pay off the remaining $1000.00 and get my subframe's put on. I am soooo excited!!! I can't wait, In about a month I will be turning like I'm on rails. Then I have to get a good set of 17x9 rims and 275 rubber and I am ready for the performance course at the road course track!

So as luck would have it I changed my mind and am no longer going to get the level 5 suspension kit from Kenny Brown
But as luck would also have it I am going to get a 2003 cobra IRS put in instead I am still working out what I want done with it but I know that I am going to have KB put it on for me and do what needs to get done.
aka I am going to have one of the most tricked out rear ends a V6 can have. Then I will have to save up to get my front done. One at a time though. If you build it, it will fly but still stick to the road.
