Hey all, I was wondering if it is worth it to save up and buy a complete package/set for suspention upgrade or if it is better to tackle it one part at a time. I am mainly interested in drag racing but roadcourses can be lots of fun. Let me know of what you think in terms of quality and money.

Save up for whole package. That way all parts wear together and are not compromised by weaker stock parts. I think you have to decide to go one way or another on drag or roadrace setup though. My Saleen Racecraft setup is about the best money can buy for going laterial but try and do a hardcore drag launch a watch tires go up in smoke. Don't get me wrong it will scream off the line but with zero-roll comes zero weight transfer, and for drag racing weight transfer is something you can't afford to live without. Personally I don't think you can get best of both worlds in any kit, because the two setups work almost completly agianst each other. For drag I'd go Maximum, for roadrace Saleen, for in between, I'd get used to losing.
If you can save up and buy a package deal that is the way to go. If not try buying a piece at a time and store it until you have everything then install.
I agree with staying with one manufacture. Their packages are made to work together. Unless you know what you’re doing, stay away from mix-matching manufactures. My choice would be Maximum Motorsports then Griggs
I also agree with Mike, you need to figure out which way you want to go drag/road. My experience, it's easier to drag race a road race car then to road race a drag car

Thanks for the info, I've decided to go with a road course setup. I took a look at MM and I'm not sure which or thier kits would be the best for me out of:
The Starter Box
The Sport Box
The Road & Track Box
The Maximum Grip Box
The Street & Strip Box
The Launch Box
So I took a took at Saleen's site and they only give you a picture of the kit and the name. They don't really bother to let you know what is in it.... What would be the best thing for me to do? Also I am looking to upgrade once and then forget about it for a while so I want it all and I want the best. Thanks for letting me leach your knowledge!

won't that be better for drag then it will for road??? Also when ordering Should I get the package for a 2002 GT??? Very few people have anything for the 6 and lots of you say that the 6 and 8 are the same besides for engine and rear end.

It is a good all round kit geared towards road course, but will give you good straight line hook.
Give Maximum a call. Tell them what you want to do. They do not want to sell you something you don't need. They will talk to you and come up with a package that works for you.
cool cool, thanks much, I gave them a call and they said everything in the maximum grip package will work except for the Strut Tower Brace and the MM K-Member. What specifically do those do and will I need to look around for something to sub in or will I be good without them? Thanks again.

Rats! it wouldn't let me edit my post, oh well. I found Strut Tower Braces for a V6 from Steeda but still have to hunt for a K-member. I am alowed to throw is that from Steeda and have everything work right

I agree Saleen's web site isn't detailed enough. You have to order a catalog to get detail on kits.
A strut tower brace ties strut towers to the firewall, this stops strut tower deflection under heavy cornering whitch affects caster, camber, and toe-in negatively.
A K-member brace stiffens up the K-member, whitch also affects toe-in and in a lesser degree caster and camber.
It will not matter if strut brace and K-member brace are MM parts, as long as they are equal quality- Steeda is good.
Also try Kenny Brown, they may have some V-6 stuff.

Please excuse my uknowledgable self here, but have you checked out Brothers Performance? They have 3 levels of suspension kits and their catalog seems to be pretty detailed about what each one offers. Now my suspension is my latest mod so I am just starting my own research too. But I am thinking am I am going with Brothers level 2 kit. I mean their kits are a lot less than 4 grand. But it doesn't offer everything that Saleens does. At least from what I have seen. It just matters if you are going to road race or what I guess. Well that is just my humble $0.02. And just wanted to add that to your thought process.
Well the two major companies that I was looking at where Maximum motorsport and saleen and my end result I want to run 13's at the strip and still be able to go out and carve corners at a road course plus giving me a comfortable ride on my way too and from work and or school. I know it is a lot to ask for but I have time and with time I get research and save a little from each pay check until I got enough to get the job done. I'll look into Brothers though. Thanks for the tip!
