Default Need Strut help

So I'm crusin down the road in Italy, cause thats where I'm stationed, and an Italian runs me off the road. This causes a blown strut, flat tire and a massively bent wheel. Tire replaced, Wheel trued(thank God the Italians can work wonders automotively) and heres the problem.
I purchased my car 4 days prior to shipping out overseas and I did not get a list of the mods from the owner(I know, self inflicted wound) the car is lowered 2" and I need to buy new struts. Which ones do I buy?
With the mail working the way it does, I hope I can get the darned thing back in top shape prior to next crusin season. BTW it's a 2000 GT.
Thanks for all the help you can give.

Hate to hear that you had an off-road exursion.

You've got a sweet looking ride and it must be killer to be able to drive it over there!

Good luck in finding what you need.

Thanks Highwayman. And Yes, It is absolutely a blast to drive this thing over here. Reason #1, The AutoStrade (same as the German AutoBahn) #2 The car never stops turing heads(So I'm a little stuck on myself, but what Mustang driver isn't) #3 It's the only thing I can drive over here that the Italians won't come near in a parking lot with their vehicles, translation.......no door dings. #4 I never get tired of starting the car up and giving her a little rev every time an Italian asks to hear the sound of the exhaust, which is daily.
I am planning on taking some pictures next to some of the more notorious landmarks before I leave here. I figure a picture with the Leaning tower of Pisa, the Roman coliseum in Rome can't be too bad to look at when I'm old and grey. Scratch that, I mean old........I'm already grey.

GTRaptor,

I appreciate your advice but do you have any idea how hard it would be to order struts for a mustang (pronounced "moose-tang") over here, lol. About as easy as picking up a part for a Saleen S7 in AutoZo_e. I will look into it though, won't be easy.
For now, I got over easy. The struts on the car were OEM, not sure if thats good for a lowered ride but hey, it worked before. I got ahold of 2 new struts and 2 new shocks for $72 shipped Priority mail. I ain't complaining one bit! I am however reading these threads like a mad scientist when I have the chance though for future (don't let the wife know) let's say "enhancements".
It's been a few years since I last owned my 5.0 and come to think of it, I sold that one to a buddy in Italy last time I was stationed here. This one though, ain't getting outta my hands.

Regards from Italy,

They really don't fix up cars over here. "Some" will have Fiat Lancias that have the Rally package but thats about it. It's also illegal for Italians to work on their cars. If anythiing goes wrong with their car, by law, they have to take it to a certified mechanic. There are some exceptions to the rule but very very few. On the other hand, the cars over are very fast in stock trim. Take for instance a Dodge Neon, although not a hot rod, over here they develop significant horsepower than the ones you would find in the states.
Something you might find humorous. Italians are always asking, "WHy do you Americans always work on your cars? Whay do you always try to make them faster" Our answer every time is................................ Because we can.

Ciao for now,
Twawsi2
