Default Steeda X2 Ball Joints

Question for those who understand the finer points of suspension components than I do.

My car follows ruts badly and clunks about every 1-2 feet when backing up, not to mention the front end squeeks when turning. I've been told this means my ball joints are shot. Its been this way for a while and slowly getting a little worse.

Now, a regular set of ball joints is about $70-90 from what I've priced. (Lowers). Steeda makes the X2 ball joints for lowered cars, they are slightly longer than stock. I do plan on installing lowering springs this summer, but, would it be BAD to run these ball joints in the meantime? I mean, if I need to replace them might as well get good ones, and if I'm gonna lower it down the road maybe these will be good.

Or are they really not a big deal in the first place and I should just get normal ones?

Buy them you wont regret it.
Besides being longer the construction is stronger than OEM replacements.

I would also advice you to change the steering rack bushings (non offset) to urethane. Same with the front swaybar bushings.

And while you are at changing the balljoint, go ahead and replace the A arm bushings with Steeda offset units ($90): http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog...rmbushings.htm

That and the Balljoint will imporove the front end tremendously.

So its ok to do while still running stock springs for a few months? Cool.

I head the Rack bushings are a good move, I guess why not stop there while its being taken apart huh.

I've heard offset rack bushings are a bad idea because they can "move" on you and make problems worse if they do, I'll take it you share that opinion. Would some urethane end links for the swaybars proabbly be a good move as well? I can't see why not.

Yes offset rack bushings could move, so id stick with regular non offset poly bushings.

The endlinks are also a nice idea, dont make a lot of difference but they are stronger, i broke a stock one while at the track and now use steedas while i keep a stock spare in the trunk

Ok I feel dumb asking this but...

Is that $99 for both or for just one? The wording is kinda inconsistent... maybe I should just ask them before ordering.

Its a frames page so I can't put in a direct link, but it says "Steeda X2 ball joing .... $99 but when you goto add it to your cart is says:

555-8101 X2 Ball Joint Kit 94 & Up 555 8101 $99.95 $99.95

So I take it kit means both sides?
