ok put 17x9 cobra r wheels on a 89 GT and the tires are 245/45/17. They rub when turning. Ford makes a steering stop kit so it can't turn so sharp lock-to-lock. Does anyone have a part #? Ford doesn't know what I'm talking about

I know exactly what you are talking about because I have it installed on my 92 stang. Its really only a plastic bushing that slides on over the tierod to reduce the turning radius. I'll look and see if I can find the part number. Pretty sure I have the receipt somewhere in my stang file.

you can also replace the lower fender piece with a 93 piece...itll stop the rubbing..and you'll keep your turning radius

The inside edge of the tire will still rub on the frame. That is what the stops are for.

The 91-93 fenders and fender extentions are a good addition
