Purchased 07 GT convertible in July, it was new. Since then two water leaks were discovered 1) hairline leak in the firewall and 2) missing seals presented when dealer pulled up the carpet for replacement.

Dealer just gave me back the car after the carpet replacement, the upholstery shop used an ionic cleaner in an attempt to resolve mold smell that permeated car and leather interior. Mold smell is still there now with this odd metal scent.

1)After a carpet replacement, should the car have a "new car" smell again?
2) How long is this metal scent going to last?
3) The mold was in the car for two months, are the seats and the convertible top ever going to smell "normal"?

Any info anyone would like to offer would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like u need 2 go back to the dealer with a baseball bat the cars new its there problem

What you may want to try is going to a pet store and getting a odor remover something like skunk begone it gets rid of the smell or try a good paint store for there odor remover but i'v found the pet store stuff to work better
