Default Racing Stripes and othe Decals on a 2000 Mustang GT

I've had my 2000 Mustang GT Convertible for about one month and have been looking to get some paintwork done.

My car is all black so I'm looking to get racing stripes with matching brake cailber colors under black wheels. I'm thinking either red, grey, or white.

I was also wondering if I should get the entire body done re-painted black along with the '05 type racing stripes to give it a cleaner finish, or would it be easier and cheaper to get just tha stripes done?

How much would be a good price to pay for something like this? I'm looking for prices no more than $1000.

Either way, I am not sure you're going to get $1,000 or under for a GREAT paint job... I was quoted around $2,000 give or take for bumper to bumper stripes on my 07 - now I know you have a vert... so maybe it would be a little cheaper... Wherever you go, whoever you go to - make sure you've seen a car or two they've painted...

Something to keep in mind is if your car is a daily driver... the bumper and stripes will take a beating from parking lots, etc... vinyl might be a better choice? I do have to admit, my vinyls are in great shape and look like the day they were put on...

You'll get some great advice here - I'm interested in seeing what others have to say! Good luck and let us know how you make out!

I have seen some really awesome vinyl stripes at some car lots that were put on very well. It was hard to tell they were not paint.
