I called up the dealership since it is 100 miles away and talked to the manager, he sent me to thier parts dept, to talk to "Jim". Jim was a nice guy, and said that his wife's explorer was doing the same thing along the front of the hood. Since they did not have a body shop at that dealer they couldnt work on my car. Jim gave me a phone number for road side assistance that had a selection to talk to someone about warrenty work from ford. 1800-241-3673 He also advised me to be very polite as I could be so not to "piss off the help" and to be put on hold. So I called and was very polite and explained my case. This is what she said.
Rust showing ford will fix if A)under 36,000 miles B)3 years
Perforation showing (Hole in hood) ford will fix if A)under 100,000 miles and B)5 years.
She told me she couldnt authorize any ford bodyshops to fix unless I had a hole in my hood.
At this point I said thank you and ended the call.
I called back Jim and told him what they told me so he would know about his wife's explorer.
So do I take a dremmel tool out to the car and carve a hole and then take some lemon juice and corrode it so the whole looks warn out? (please suggest if this is a good idea or not)

Still possible to do this
Now, here is the alternative. An aftermarkerk hood is what I would RATHER be looking at because A) it looks better and B) it wont F-ing corrode.
So this is where you guys can help me out. I need to stay within a budget of $600 for a painted replacement hood. (I know hard) I found this place in CA called octane motor sports and they have fiberglass hoods that are gell coated (White)
Hoods & Hood Scoops - Octane Motorsports
Now the total cost for the new hood with shipment is close to the 600 BUT, not black like my car

Suggestions? anyone selling a aftermarket hood?
The dealership quoted me $580 to replace the paint on the hood (without bead blasting it)
I went to a local bodyshop from many referals, this is the type of guy sho does custom cars and puts them in magazines. He quoted me $500 and since I was getting a door dent taken care of by my co-workers insurance he would replace my hand painted pin stripping with a tribal barbwire pinstrip.
