It's spring or so the calander says.....in light of all the products available for car washing, polishing , waxing , tire dressing, interior cleaning etc.
What do you use and why? I know we all have used the expensive stuff and also have probably used the cheap stuff in a pinch. Any surprises on something working really well that you did not think would?
I just don't want to waste a lot of money on stuff that may be big bucks when something cheaper works just as well...

i use turtle wax claybar to clean,meguirs polish,meguires color rx wax and ice for the exterior plastic....meguirs leather cond.+cleaner,black magic interior protectant...black magic tire foam...they all work well for me and do not work me to death.

The pinned topics are a great start - there is so much information there on who loves what... I'm a little nutty - I take such a personal interest in the show and shine forum here.... like many others.
I like Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash and Polish, follow up with wet wax from obsessive detail and sealant... the last go around I added yet another wax before sealing - and the car looks amazing... I recently added Ice detail that I use daily before I drive the car... OMG, the car freakin' glows! The shine in amazing...
Key is follow through on all your work - don't rush it!!

Lots of car care products out there right now. But I use Adams Products. Everything from there detail spray to there Clay bar systems to there polishes and waxes. I swear by there stuff and everyone that uses something different will swear by there products as well. Just find something that you like and like Judy said just follow through your work and take your time. That is the key to sucess. Keep us posted on your progress.

When washing I use Eagle 1 car wash. I find it does well with my hard water and helps reduce spotting. I also like their tireshine, it's not too glossy. I prefer Maguire's NXT wax. It leaves a very deep, long lasting shine. For deep cleaning, nothing beats a claybar. I got a Maguire's kit that came with the claybar and detailer. It pulls that deeply imbeded stuff out of the clearcoat. Interior wise, Armorall makes some nice damp wipes that clean very nicely. I also have a very small shop vac that's easy to maneuver around the interior and trunk of the car. I use it exclusively for the cars. I have another, larger one that I use around the shop and for woodworking. There's nothing like trying to vacuum out the rear of the car when R2D2 decides to fall over and stop working.

The key to a great shine is all in the prep The use of a clay bar follow by a good cleaner/polish is the key. Every one has a wax/sealent that they love all are good and look great so depends on what you are looking for in a finish. Most products have a system set up in steps that is were I would start Go to a car show find someones car you like and ask them what they use careful light colors are handle dif then dark colors I myself use ZAINO

I too use Zaino products. Their new Clear Seal product is a winner. But I'm also liking the TW Ice product line. I've been using that on my wife's car and it's really good.
Damn that Obsession stuff is expensive. It better be good.

And for regular car washes, I've picked up some bio-degradable Simple Green stuff. I haven't used it yet but if it's any like regular Simple Green cleaners, it should be good.
A clay bar is a must. I use Zaino for pretty much everything. Leather in a bottle works and smells great. The Z16 tire shine does not sling onto the car, and it does a nice job dressing up the engine bay. The Z5 hides swirl marks, and the Z2 gives a great shine. Z6 is a nice detail spray. I used the ZPC fusion on my son's jeep and loved the results. The AIO is nice, and easy to use. Not a fan of the Z8, but I think it's just me. It's not in my nature to use LESS. The Z7 car wash is ok. I use it because everything else is Zaino. I use rainx on all exterior glass. I spray Turtle wax platinum ultra wet tire shine in the wheel well area for a nice, wet, black look. I do not use it on the tires, it slings.I use Qtips and Z16 to clean the honeycomb areas of the grill and other hard to reach areas. A fine, soft detail brush works great for removing dust from the crevices around windows and the like. A tweezer works well for removing bits of debris from the window track area.
