Default Possibility of painting over anodized finish

Is it possible to put a different color on a part that is already anodized? Can the anodized finish be removed, either chemically or physically? Or can you just paint over it?

Anodizing can probably be painted over, but if you want to be sure, oven cleaner removes anodizing. Rather than painting, consider powdercoating. It will give a more durable, and professional looking, finish.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

yes i agree to do it right i would strip the parts first

and yes since i powdercoat for a living i highly recommend

powdercoating the parts ....the durability and finish is far

superior to paint especially for parts under the hood...

see my profile.....
