Default Discovered the wonder of clay barring!

I'd heard of a clay bar, but hadn't investigated what it is and what it does.
I've had something (tree sap?) on my windshield for a very long time that you could see when the sun hit it just the right way. I could also feel something on my hood, but couldn't really see anything. I commented to my daughter yesterday that I guess I was going to have to pay a detailer to get the stuff off. She said "clay bar your car." What a smart girl!
I bought the Meguiar's clay bar kit. That stuff is the freaking Ann Sullivan of car cleaning products!! It works great and is very easy to use. It even got a lot of crap off the area right behind the front tires (where the tires throw stuff up onto the car). I've had stuff in that area for a very long time that I haven't been able to get off. (My car will be 2 years old in August so it was waaaay overdue for clay barring!)
Just wanted to share my wonderful discovery!

Roger that, Kimberly! Your car's paint LOOOOOVES the clay. It's fun and easy and addictive. I won't wax without claying first.

After the clay I use Kitt Scratch Out polish. Used it on a friends car and removed stuff that the clay wouldn't. Also used it to fix the damage my boss did to his SUV by using rubbing compound on clear coat. Good stuff.

Also try the Mother's Back to Black on the trim. Makes all the black plastic look like new.

Mother's Back to Black is already in my arsenal! (That's about the only thing that will take polish off black trim.)
Along with Mother's Chrome Polish for the wheels.

You just can't beat a clay bar! Before the 05,I'd never heard of one.Now I tell EVERYONE about how great they are.You just can't believe it until you try it! These things are great for removing overspray, tree sap,bug guts, etc.I'm glad you are happy with your results!
